Overview: Minus von Drake, is based upon a cross between the overly romanticised, however magnificently intriguing highway robber, Dick Turpin and the particularly discourteous and villainous, ‘Child Catcher’, a supporting antagonist of Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang, from the work of screenwriter; Roald Dahl.A mindless, devilish rapscallion and black-clad masked outlaw, he and his dastardly fiendish minions, called Umpers, which closely resemble hobgoblins, try to snatch Jake and Edward as they all travel through Jake’s adventures, Minus’ ultimate goal being to steal Jake’s imagination, and take over the crazy world he lives in. Minus, who is the antagonist in Jake’s Adventures, resides deep inside Jake’s imagination, on the outskirts of the final level, Horror Land. From there, he oversees his five sinister and treacherous Umpers, all with rather fetching nicknames: Empty; Dripper; Vile; Hothead and Hopper.Throughout the game, Jake and Edward must outwit the shameful six, by filling in fade and serrated outlines of all sorts of contraptions designed to thwart Minus and his minions.
